Are H&R coilovers any good?
Picked up a set at a good price, but now I'm not sure if it's worth installing and corner balancing them if I'm going to want something better immediately.
I plan on doing a decent amount of track days, and I have a h&r rear sway and front and rear trg droplinks to go in as well
I had ohlins in my s4 and loved them. I know the Hr's aren't in the same league but how do those of you that have them like them?

It will be interesting to see what folks think about their H&R's around the track. I went with JIC Cross for the coilovers as many people had told me H&R's were great for lowering the car, but maybe not as good for handling? Your set-up sounds good, i'm sure it will be awesome. I just added the sway bars a few weeks ago and what a difference!
oh yeah many times they have handled great for a street coil overs, personally I think they felt better than Pss9 coil overs that I have driven. very compliant on the street and actually smoother over small and med bumps than stock suspension yet can handle track and canyon duty.
If you are serious for some track duty check into motons. I have moved on with motons along with all the other suspension upgrades. totally different league than the h&R but honestly compared to the comperable street coil overs you can't beat H&R.

Tommy,
After having stasis/ohlins on your s4, Im not sure you will be happy with the h&r's on this car at the track.
i think they suck to be honest they are bouncy , they basicly have the same valving as the stock shots so when you lower the car they tend to be bouncy.there ok if you just want a lower stance and drive normal, but if your doing anything more then , i would go with something else .not to mention , you had ohlins ,before its like going from a ferrari to a heavy *** benz.
im running JIC.s with sways ,TRG droplinks, and adjustable rear toe. everything works great!

I've owned diff 3 sets of HR C/O on 3 different bimmers. Not sure about the 996TT setup but they are NOT bouncy. Bouncy -> sounds like a blown shock.
HR worked very well for street/light track duty.
