Ok, I posted this Poll over on rennlist.. http://forums.rennlist.com/rennforum...d.php?t=408840
..and it seemed to evoke a lot of passion and opinions.
I pronounce it the "wrong" way, porsh.

That Rennlist thread is funny and this one is becoming equally as funny. People really get worked up over this
.I'm with you on this arr0gant, porsh. Non-Germans saying porsh-uh just sounds pompous to me.
Porch-a
If you were not english and you pronounced your "E's" as "F's" it would not be the "F-mpire State Building" it would still be the "Empire State Building"!
If you think using the "A' is pompous well, guess what, you just bought a car that costs more than some peoples houses!
A name is a name and language does not change that!

Just to make sure, I ask my mechanic Jesus, he say's
PORCH !!
Then he told me "you gotta a nice Porch heffy"

Along the same line, how do you pronounce the following:
RUF
Gemballa
Manthey
and any other of the tuners.
Growing up in the UK like most Brits I know we used the incorrect pronounciation (and I still find it hard not to), "Porsha" was a name you might pretentiously name your daughter (a-la Fish Called Wanda).
After living in a bunch of countries now I am more atuned to respecting name pronounciation and am trying to use the correct pronounciation of Porsche.. Been corrected enough now too!

"Gem" with a J sound (like German) or G sound (like guitar)?
