Pccb - Is This A Good Deal?

A friend of mine ordered a gt3 with big reds, but the PCCB's came brand spanking new in a box. He wants 5700 for the set.

Is that a good deal ? Any other aftermarket brake systems at a comprable price thats better?

One dealer told him its a direct bolt on to the turbo....true or false?

THanks
Shank

FAT-911 is infamous around these parts
Shank,

If you plan on taking your car out on the track often don't go for the PCCB, the pads/ rotors are very very expensive to replace, your better of going for an aftermarket Brembo kit or something similar, the PCCB's are also noisy when they heat up.

not direct bolt on. PCCB rotor hub on GT car (2&3) is different than the Turbo PCCB.

5700 is a good deal. May also be a good deal for someone who has the PCCB already as they would be cost effective replacement parts.

I know there is a lot of controversy regarding the PCCB but I absolutely love them.

They are light, awesome looking and they make practically zero brake dust. Mine are quiet too and they stop very very well.

I would get them again. I wish my Cayenne had them....the brake dust is unbearable!!

Still have to look into fitting it on the turbo. Going from my GT2 to the turbo, there is a very noticable difference in braking.

For the TT PCCB's, Porsche full list all four corners is $16,000- i hear they are on "SALE" now for $11,000. They come with braided brake lines too but if you are only getting a pair of fronts, i don't know how good a deal that would actually be. Better off with big brembos or alcons.

isn't that more a factor of increased weight?

btw, i sent you a PM and would maybe be interested in the brakes if you decide not to. i have GT3 wheel hubs on my C2 and would be able to use them.
