A VERY custom 996 GT2 "RSR"...
I have been in touch with Excellence magazine and they seem very interested. I am hopeful that they will carry a story on the car.

I know one thing, we can run a lot faster if we can put some of that 40 degree Minnesota air thru the turbos!!!!!!!!
Robert...where do I find such an alternator? That would make a great addition to the motor and certainly save weight.
The good news is that the 140 amp version weighs only 7 lbs and is very reliable. That is why it is used by Porsche on many factory race cars including the latest RSR, by other leading road and off road professional race teams around the world and by leading NASCAR teams. The bad news is the cost.

You should ask Robert if he has any trick parts for your car! Cartridge components are used by the most cutting edge race teams in the world. Even Porsche Motorsports uses Bob's innovative parts. His parts are AMAZING works of art... and makes most "tuners" look like weekend garage hack jobs.
I'm not kidding either.
How is that Tilton set-up doing? Just ordered mine from Nero today with the heavy flywheel. Thought I could get away from chatter by going with carbon? Any issue with 900+rwhp using the 7.25" Tilton carbon set-up?
Working great so far, I don't have 900hp in this car but have had well over that in my last car and it worked great. I haven't gotten to test the heavy flywheel in the car as of yet (first one ships this week) but I am sure it will improve the sound and drive ability on the street (although currently it's management, a bit more weight will help from dead stops).
I think you'll be very happy with your decision, can't wait to see this thing done.
