Has anyone put the new RUF modular wheels on thier car. I am just wondering how they look on. They are a pretty sweet wheel if your style is not too flashy. What do you all think about them?

they look good, I've seen them on a friend's car and I liked them alot..

 

if they are anything like the one-piece ones then there will be 2 problems: too heavy and you will need spacers front and rear for TT applications...

 

To me they look a lot like the Kinesis K58R

Does RUF get these wheels from Kinesis (I've heard this somewhere before)?

 

The Ruf wheels look a lot better than the Kinesis wheels.

I guess the fact that they say Ruf on them is what you're paying for which is cool with me. Same goes for BBS, HRE, etc.

 

RUF gets them from O.Z. wheels as far as I know..

 

could be Kinesis since RUF has another wheel that looks exactly like the New 110

 

Look like K58R's to me..... and I know Kinesis are cheaper ....

 

I think it looks VERY similar to the Kinesis K58/9R...but i'm sure since the Kinesis is US made and forged, it is a lighter, stronger, and less expensive product than the RUF/OZ. plus, Kinesis has excellent customer service, so I would choose them anyday. That is why we sell their product - they stand behind it.

Just to reiterate, Kinesis does not make that wheel for Ruf.

 

As far as I am aware the Ruf wheels are heavy.

 

I would think the modular wheel would be lighter than the 1 piece Ruf wheel.

Besides, I am sure these wheels were tested for prolonged periods at over 200mph+ unlike US brands.

I'm not knocking Kinesis, but one shouldn't undervalue Ruf.

 

I think that the RUF wheels are heavy for a reason, for daily street driven cars light weight wheels can easily be damaged so that might explain why RUF wheels are a bit heavier then the others..

 

These ones are very light wheels.

These wheels are forged, not cast, so the "Ruf wheels are heavy" argument doesn´t apply here.
