Who to use for shipping?
I'm getting my M6 transported enclosed carrier with Angel's Auto transport ....best reviews on transportreviews.com....pickup was apparently very professional...good communication...
about $1500 ship enclosed from FL to CA...so yours should be cheaper

my car is on a transporter NOW. left chicago last thursday and was promised by yesterday (monday). i posed the same question as i was searching for a company and one of the members here suggested Dealer to Dealer. seems like a fair price. i went for an open truck as i am having them ship my new smart car. they have not really been in communication with me thus far but will wait to see the condition of my car.

still waiting on my car to be delivered. i have been in communication with the driver a few times today. again, supposed to be here yesterday and at this point will arrive wednesday morning.
so, my question to those who have had used transporters before (this is my first time): did you car arrive on or before they said it would or did you get the run around?
thanks
UPDATE: my car arrived on the open transporter wednesday morning. after the driver unloaded my smart car off the truck he gave me the inspection sheet. although the car was filthy, i walked around the car, looked at it from every angle and signed off on the car being "ok". i got home 15 minutes later and washed the car for the first time. as i was drying the car, i noticed what appeared to look exactly like 4 BB gun marks on the passenger side door. this is something i didn't see when i looked over the car as it must have been concealed by road grime (it made the trip to florida from chicago). naturally i called the company and they faxed me a damage claim form. one of the things it said was that the trucking company was not responsible for damage not listed on the inspection sheet. my point is how would i have seen these marks on the car if it was dirty. so, the process begins and i am not sure about the outcome. frustrating. and yes, perhaps i should have used an enclosed carrier.
