MS103made the 700 really simply, but even then started showing some slight knock activity at 6500-7000 rpm's, so C16 would be a no brainer, but is leaded. The cars we've seen survive the high power levels have all been on 103, C12, or C16. The people that like to push it on pump fuel have engine problems. The compression ratio is just too high and with the advanced camshaft movements, there's an incredible amount of torque available in lower rpm's where it can really do some damage on lower quality fuels.
Treat your car well, it'll give back for a long time.
Yes, this is why I only run MS 109 in my 05 Turbo S. With a Revo Flash as the only mod, I think I am getting 520HP (crank HP). What do you think, more or less?

Robert,

S-35I (Speed Gallery GT2) turned me onto the MS109 which of course is 103 octane
unleaded. My car was originally tuned by Todd above using MS103 (99 unleaded) and
therefore I did not run too much boost.

Mine is tuned to 1.0 bar (stage 2 Revo setting). At times in 4th gear it may hit 1.1 bar, but only in the higher gears.

pumps/injectors

Zippy,
Yes, the dual pumps and big injectors are STOCK... Crazy stuff. Not sure where they'll run out. They were still going plenty strong where we stopped.
I've heard from a Porsche Tech that Porsche HAD TO put a ton of fuel in these cars to keep them from killing themselves in case of a vgt failure.
Whatever the reason, it's great for the owners pocket book

Would the stock 997TT injectors work on a 996TT without having to modify the fuel rails?

Solve one problem, create another. Yes, from O-ring to O-ring they fit, but the extended nozzle hits a casting in the manifold stubs that needs to be machined out, so they're not a drop in

Todd thanks for the info. Was worth a shot to see if it was possible. Do you know what size injectors they are? My guess would be 60lbs or 600-660ccs?

Hey guys.

I'm the owner of this 997TT being discussed.

I havent posted anything on the 996 side of the forum about my car so for those of you that would like to see details about the project follow the link below:

https://www.6speedonline.com/forums/...d.php?t=109599

I have the dyno sheets posted for some of the runs here:
https://www.6speedonline.com/forums/...=109599&page=6

Also (Scott) - my car is running the stock exhaust mainifolds (no headers). Also when Todd ran the driftbox times the stock air filter was used. When the car returns it will have the K&N in place.

My goal was to hit 135 traps with this car once complete. Well see what happens.

Keith

You will hit 135 mph no Problemo!

Good luck Keith, many of us (996TT guys) are quite envious.
You ought to wait and go to the texas Mile in March!

Stock air filters are great so long as you change them every 6 - 12 months.
