Every growing forum has that problem sooner or later... I had the very same problem many moons ago on my board.

Kevin, that M looks pretty damn sweet.

Have you ever considered a Valentine One?

Thanks... but I think it would look better with a 911TT but I haven't gotten that far yet.

Yes... many times, but I opted for the Escort for the following reasons.

* I've had an Escort since '94 and it's kept me out of trouble (or at least reduced the fine)
* The V1 is $400... and you had to get the concelled display, another $250... and then I'd have to get the V1 mirror for my car... another $300... for a total of $950 (ouch!)
* I buy a new radar detector almost every year or every other year (gotta stay ahead of the game).
*Plus the V1 is just so huge...

Don't get me wrong... V1 is an awesome radar detector, I've just always had an Escort.

the V1 is actually not that large. its quite slim. the concealed display is $39. and the mirror can be made for around 200 or so at the right body shop. The grand total coming out to $750 w/installation. But the V1 and a concealed display custom mounted on the left side of your guage box is a really nice place. the v1 is superior to the escort

Yes... $750 or there abouts. The mirror is slightly more for me tho, price quotes are in the $300... maybe more. Something to do with the mirror that on the car.

Is the V1 a better unit, probably... but I've never had any problems with the Escort, except for when I was doing something totally dumb, and then it still lessened the charge.
