Entire job and I get the Clutch Master Cyclinder, I purchased, fitted with an adjustable head so I can also adjust at the clutch pedal.

alex, so the kit has the slave altering mounting bracket? If so, may I call you on Monday to get the details? Could you also send me the part numbers that I need to order?

Alex, I think you and robertp are talking about 2 different things, so correct me if I am wrong. Alex is offerering the EVO kit that changes the clutch's hydraulic system to that of a GT2. It requires relocation of the slave, which is different from the 996TT. What robertp desires to move the slave 1" from it's original location in the direction away from the clutch. The idea is to have the clutch action occur mid stroke, instead of when the pedal is 90% off the floor. For several reasons I am not confident that this is the solution but we won't know unless it is tried.

Some insight...
I deleted the assist altogether.... at first it was a heavy pedal... but now that I got used to it it feels great... and I have the ATS 1350 Kg pressure plate... Yes it releases towards the end but its fine for my style of driving especially when Im speed shifting...

I would definately eliminate the clutch assist first, then start looking at the slave. For what its worth even with the Tilton setup I had engagement at the top at first, and I don't even have a slave cylinder (release bearing is part of the clutch). After removing the helper spring and the actuator/ accumulator the clutch now is more towards the middle than the top, and I've got a much better feel for it which makes it extremely drivable.

I am interested in your view of why it will not work.

Does your clutch shutter from a stand still? I have noticed that mine is shuttering less now that I am at 200 miles post clutch install. How many miles do you have on your clutch?

I do not mind if my clutch is heavy, I just want it to release at the middle.

Also, how do you feel about my idea of altering the slave cylinders positioning? Will this work?

Hi Roadsterdoc, it does actually change the feel and release... It starts to grab earlier and you can "feel" it now if you will.

Hi Alex, yes, I know. Reread my post. Robertp wants the slave (whether GT2 or 996TT) moved back an inch. The EVO kit doesn't do this, the person doing the install would do it. Basically drill new mounting holes 1" away from the stock location.

robertp- I need to look at the design carefully. A repositioning bracket must be able to keep the slave in the same orientation of the original (no higher) or it will misalign with the fork. The pressure plate is a "puller" not a "pusher," right? So would the slave need to be moved 1" away or 1" towards the clutch to move the action point to mid-pedal? Is there room to relocate it? The 996TT slave is ridiculous. I've never seen anything like it before. It is huge, even more so when the accumulator is attached. The GT2 slave would be easier.

No you don't need to pull it. HAving said that we usually do it with the engine/tranny out during 700 or clutch installs but if I had to guesstimate 4-5 hours?
