Great article about PSM
Excellent article. Thanks!
"If you lift off the throttle in a low traction situation
(wet, snow, etc.) and the back of the car gets loose, PSM will increase
the engine speed (blip the throttle) to keep the car in line"
have you guys ever felt this? I live in a canyon so some fun part of every day. I always thought this was the smog equipment, as I have heard that most newer cars won't totally snap the throttle for smog reasons. It's very eerie. Like the car is not engine braking at all.

That's right grandma Marty!
Wasn't there a heated debate not long ago with someone insisting that they were far faster with it off (in the face of a lot of data to the contrary)? Can't find the thread, but I'd rather take my chances with it on - except when going in a straight line that is.
Thought it was really interesting as well that when it's off, it is completely off unless you're in a slide AND you stab the brakes. Pretty effin smart!
