TTP headers: anyone try them out?
TTP headers: anyone try them out?
I have heard numerous discussions about headers on our cars, ranging from 'they don't work' to 'they lose power' to 'they reduce lag with larger turbos'.
I have heard nothing but positive things about TTP, including that they are conservative with their power numbers for their packages.
They list headers on their site and quote that they provide a 20hp increase on a stock Turbo car (which is significant). One would only think that this increase would grow on a modified Turbo. SO......has anyone tried them out. They also provide dyno graphs and it looks like there really isn't a power loss in the midrange (3000rpms and up).
Sounds like this might be the ticket!
Looking for first hand experience.

My 2 cents: I'll bet $10 they do worse than stock. They are
obviously beigger in diameter and not insulated like stock,
so they will cool the exhaust pre-turbo for less boost, and
provide more volume to fill from an off-boost to on-boost
transition.

I am sorry, but I do not believe their claim. There is no way headers, by themselves on a stock 996tt will develop twenty hp.
