shifter popping out of gear

Has anyone experienced the stock TT shifter popping out of a gear? Usually happens as I come to a stop. Couldn't tell if it's my driving or what.

New tranny? That sounds pretty drastic.
Was there a recall on it?

Could it also explain why sometimes it's near impossible to shift back into gear (especially fwd gears) if shifting into neutral first intead of straight into a fwd gear?

I am about to have my second tranny put in under warranty. I am having them do the clutch at the same time so all I have to do is pay for the clutch parts and avoid a $1600 labor bill.

Take it to the dealer AND *****, talk to the local corporate rep as well.

I sure will go to the dealer and *****, as soon as I get my PS2's delivered to fix a flat.

For the longest time I keep suspecting I didn't pull it into second hard enough...

Do we know for sure a new tranny will solve the problem?

Who still face this problem after a new tranny?

Does the 03 or 04 TT still have this problem?
If so, then it's pretty bad. They had this problem since 01!

I am taking my car into the dealer tomorrow. He already warned me it could need a new tranny.

My doesn't slip out everytime but it can happen about once a day. Is that what you guys are finding. I just hope it happens when they drive it.

Please let me know so I can use that info to add to my case for a new tranny.

Mine doesn't pop out all the time. At most once/twice a day, then it could be another week before it happens again.
Definitely can not reproduce on demand.
Maybe operating temperature has someth to do with it...
