Turbo Hater Stories.....

Ok after reading steve's story about his turbo ownership experience seen here: https://www.6speedonline.com/forums/...d.php?t=122153
I was curious to hear what some of you other turbo-Owners' worst or funniest experiences have be with haters on the road?

In two years of turbo ownership in Boston I have been cut off by people, especially on the highway (not letting me pass etc.) sometimes they work in teams to box me in

The other experience I've had is with a guy on a bicycle who spit on my car and called me a "rich ****".

Haters as must as we hate to admit it is part of the porsche owning experience. Share your stories

I experienced some Turbo haters a few weeks ago. Since I pulled there high priced Lambo's in a few races, they won't let me run with them anymore.

Someone wrote "I'm special, the rules don't apply to me" in shoe polish on my car.

Waxed it out no issues.

Gareeb: Geez guy, I'm sorry to see that and I can bet that you're mad as hell. This is not an uncommon occurrence unfortunately....some folks just can't stand to see someone with a really high end car....they just have to deface it...the ultimate F.U. I guess..... I get upset over a door ding....I can imagine how you felt when you came out and saw that. They did it on the driver's side so you wouldn't miss it.

Ramon, how do you have the audacity to drive an expensive sports car you worked your tail off to own. Don't you know there are people out there that haven't worked as hard as you and aren't as educated and they drive cars that aren't as expensive as yours. You....you.. Rich ****!

I haven't had a problem yet.

It comes with the territory.
It's even worse, when I'm in the Ferrari or Bentley GT.
Not much you can do, as there will always be people who "hate"

Ouch.

The only people that hate my Turbo are some of the GT3's and Z06's I pass on the track at high rates of speed. They think their car is superior, little do they know, this baby aint no joke.

Everyone on the street seems to love it.

the one thing that sticks out to me is the way everyone wants to pass a Porsche, no matter which of my P cars I am driving, there is always someone who will do anything get around me. I usually just smile and let em go!
I also like the people who ask " Is it fast?" I have not encountered any haters or had anyone ever make a negative comment to me while out in a Porsche. After reading the posts, I am going to be thinking twice about parking somewhere where I cannot keep an eye on them.

Gareeb:: Holy SH*T, I think i would have a fainted and then finger printed the car to find and kill whoever did that!

I feel like nobody even notices my car, I wish more people would race me.... I should have gotten a more flashy color haha!

I only get crap when my car is freshly detailed, when it's dirty(most of the time), just blends right in. When I had the loud version exhaust it was worse, now with the FSQ, no issues. I actually get more crap about my MD tags, but I gotta have 'em to park at certain hospitals.

I took my car to a pretty dingy drag strip to see what it would run. I guy with a serious pit setup tending to a Mustang came walking over. I was braced for "what are YOU doing here" hate spewage, but the first thing he said is "I love 996 turbos, what do you think it will run?". We had a great time talking about our cars. I have not experienced any haters.

Worst thing that happened to me so far was on New Years Day, when I was driving on Van Ness and someone threw a wet paper towel on the hood of the car. Good thing it wasn't anything else.

Other then that, I don't really get any rude comments or gestures from people on the road. Its because I am usually flying by them blasting their ears with my straightpipes.

I got keyed two ays after Christmas. I'm convinced that it was NOT in retaliation for aggressive driving (that day) or stealing someone else's parking spot.

Mostly, I get lots of compliments. And there's no shortage of Porsche's where I live.

BLKM3, you gonna make it to EuroSunday? I'm planning to check it out.
