Mixn' up a batch of 100 octane

I bought a 5 gallon (us) can of 112 (C12) race gas today. I looked in the owners manual to see the exact capacity of our gas tanks to calculate at what level the gas gage should be at when I dump in the C12 so that I end up with 100 octane. I am planning to try out the Stage 4 GTR ecu map tomorrow!

I calculated that with a 1/2 a tank of 92 octane (8.3 US Gallons) and 5 gallons of 112 octane will get me to 99.5 octane. Does this sound correct?

Well thanks for the input. You just saved me from 1 of 2 possible unplanned mods... 1) Replacing my EP2 loud or 2) stabbing myself in the neck with a steak knife!

The C12 will probably work great for starting the Bar-b-que!

Ehhh, depends, I've run a tank full of leaded 100 race gas through a car with no problems other than fouled o2 sensors. The car passed emissions a couple months later with no problems.

YOu can run the leaded gas in your car and not hurt anything. if you used Leaded gas all of the time your cats would fail. Hear or there should not do any damage.

gassss

You can get both 100 and 104 octane, unleaded. Arizona's got a crap load of each, but i don't know about where you live. I've run the 100 straight on my car and the ping sensors take care of everything. 76 stations carry the 100 around LA.
