Clutch Question

Need an opinion

If your clutch works fine but after it sits for a few days it need to be pumped 15+ times to work what would you look at? Accumulator?

Like pressure has bled off.

Hummmm

And it was replaced too .................

Or installed wrong. I thought I read something somewhere about one part inparticular that needs to be seated right.

Could be air in the line. Take it back to the dealership and have them bleed it again.

A leaking master cylinder wil do that, too. It only takes a tiny leak...

Accumulator...hard pedal after a few pumps? If you have CPO, it's a covered item.

I had similar symptoms and had to have the accumulator replaced on my '01 Turbo. It was a CPO'd car but dealer wouldn't cover it - claimed it was a wear item. I had them print out the entire list (many, many pages) of what is covered an sure enough it wasn't listed.

However, I think if your dealer is reasonable they could find a way to cover it. Mine (Niello Porsche in Rocklin, CA) is not and milk their customers for anything they can.

Good luck!
