I recently got one key made. As far as I know, they can cut you a key that will start the car with just the VIN number. However, to program the remote so that the lock/unlock buttons etc. work, you will need to take the car in and pay for the programming labor (my dealer charged 30 minutes labor). Overall, an expensive process ($400 for one key + labor) and they absolutely require proof of ownership. I had to take in both registration and insurance card.

....awesome.....that was what I was hoping for. I have a rear loaded garage and no way for a tow truck to pick it up. Also without a key I can't get it into neutral (tip) or turn the wheel......
