TX2K8 60-130 Competition - Verified Data Files
First of all, I would like to say "sorry" for taking so long to post these. I was on hold until Scott (diveextreme) could find time to verify the data. As always, he took time away from his family to verify the data and we are very appreciative of that. Thank you Scott! On to the results:
Tommy Banh - Supra - ran one full pass, didn't push it b/c the TX Mile was coming up - 4.81

Stacy Barnett - TT Viper - had a broken transmission and still managed to run a 4.51

Thomas Bradley - Stock Twin Turbo Supra - for a 400 rwhp car, NOT bad, congrats Thomas on the great time - 10.52

Eric Carver - 07 Z06 (AtomicZ) - his best was a 7.5x and I'm working with Scott to verify the data, hold your horses until I get the 7.5x file. For now, here was one of his first runs where he spun through 4th gear!!!!

Bob Helms - 97 Supra Automatic - what is there to say? He has SHATTERED any record that was previously held (which by the way he held at 4.15) - 3.93

Marty Kaye (Woodster) - 996TT - SOLID SOLID performer that could replicate this number over and over and over. Great job Marty! - 6.90

Mr. Krutilek - I believe this was an RX7 with a V8 in it! VERY impressive number! Please correct me if I'm wrong on name/car - 7.37

Mr. Miller - I believe this was an 01 Z06. Great number and great baseline! - 10.62

Next year I am coming with drag radials and a 100 Shot!!!
My best run was done starting in 3rd gear and doing one shift - not sure if this is the best approach for a naturally aspirated car but, it is what I had to do since I was having issues getting car into to 3rd.
Peter - Great event!! I had a lot of fun regardless of the my traction issues and clutch problems. All joking aside - I plan to be back next year for this wonderful event.
Congrats to everyone that competed.

I see I consistently ran a 2-shift (lame) 60-130 @ 6.9 seconds
(my full boost comes in at just over 60 mph which makes it tricky)
Next year I will be back with a (1) shift run to beat the good Dr. Jitsu

I barely caught Bob's 3.9 run on video. It was so fast that it really doesn't look that impressive on film. There is so much power with no struggle, it's over before you now it...kinda like dyno runs on >1000hp cars, it is anti-climactic compared to long pulls by lower hp cars. He did get squirrly though, which you can see in the video and a bystander's comment attests to it. But he kept his foot in it and throttle steered on through. I overheard his son talking about how he lowered tire pressure in one of the rear tires to help keep it from pulling one direction. The front wheels are barely touching the ground and do not respond well to input. He is in a different league. Also worth noting, he had a cast on his left foot during this run!
Notice the rubber flying through the air!

Bob is a class act and a great driver.
I was quite perplexed (after seeing him in a cast all weekend) drive up to
Frankenstein's in a TT Viper. (Can you say TT VIPER with professionally built
drag racing automatic transmission)??? This guy has the GOOD HARDWARE
