jrz rs coilovers
I was reffering to the above few posts because that was the impression I had that they are pretty much identical.
I was wondering where you got your information from on the Moton being superior. Even if by a little. Be it personal experience or whatever.
Sorry to hi-jack this thread kenny but, it looks like it's already happen and I'm just joining in. Here's the scoop
JRZ D/A and T/A racing dampers are nearly in ever way. Originally they had a M2 difference in the size of the pistons and at times the guides are different length but now days the are pretty much identical.
HERE'S the diffence's
The JRZ RS and JRZ RS Pro are COMPLETELY different from the Moton Club sport. One is a Mono tube design and the other isn't. The club sport's internal rebound adjuster is completely different from anything that JRZ has ever done. Now in my opinion for the money...I'd go with the JRZ RS but, it is NOT user rebuildable where the Club Sport is.
In the racing world both company's now offer 4 Way adjustable which again are quite different. This is by far the most awesome damper JRZ has ever made .. it's the damper that one the World Challenge Speed GT Championship last year... I don't really know much about the new Moton 4 Way but, they do and always have made a very good product
This thread is about the RS and I can tell you for sure this is an awesome damper that is a good if not better than anything out there in it's cat.
Ok with that said.....I can't help but comment on this one ... PENSKE????? Does Roger Penske run those on the RS Spider??? Does anyone run those in ALMS? Grand AM? World Challenge?? I know there are a couple but, very limited. It's a very nicely made product and they do work well... but not even close to an Ohlins, JRZ, Moton or even KW's or Sach's. Actually in Open wheels stuff they've done pretty well but, there is a reason they have never been really big on Saloon cars.. ok just my .02 and experience.
Back to Kenny.. go for it.. they are good very tunable damper..

the only knock against jrz that I heard of and the only reason why I went moton was that I heard that they did not have the same support structure that moton has in the u.s.
Other than that I'd go for it

Cary thanks for chiming in. I did not know that about Penske, interesting, now I feel even better by having a sick Moton setup

Jrz has huge support at most of the major races...they usually have a shock dyno on track at ever MAJOR event...I know others have had a shock replaced within a weekend...so I would say JRZ is right on with on track support...
Thanks to everyone for their replies. I'm looking forward to getting these JRZ installed on the turbo. I'm going to let ERP fine tune the settings once they're installed. Cary transformed my Gallardo... I'm sure he'll work his magic on the turbo!
