2003tt is infamous around these parts
Virgin 996TT Wrench

I've been wrenching on my cars and motorcycles for years but have been putting off working on my 996TT because it's an expensive vehicle to mess up and it's more complex than anything I've worked on before.

I love the way the car looks and sits, especially since I had it lowered. But I've never liked the look of the rear wiper sticking up in the back. So many months ago I bought a plug from Eric at Bumperplugs.com. It's a simple item already painted to match my car. All I had to do was pull off the panel in the back of the car just under the rear window glass, remove the wiper arm on the stem, and dig around inside to see what I needed to remove.

I'd read here is was easy and anyone could do it in under an hour. I have been sitting on the plug for months and decided to try it today. And guess what - it is easy. It rook a couple of wrenchs and I was done in perhaps 30 minutes or less. And the car looks much better without the wiper.

Thanks Eric and everyone who recommended the mod. While it doesn't remove much weight, it does make the car look better.

nice job. I too was initially hesitant to start wrenching on mine, but after a few busted knuckles, I found that with a little patience it was do-able!
