What about 18" HRE's?

So, it is a concensus that 18" wheels are better overall for performance. Why doesn't anybody have 18" HRE's? HRE's seem extremely popular for the TT, but every single set anybody has on here is 19". I want to put 18" HRE's on my car, is there something I am missing?

I'm looking at it as we speek. You aren't crazy, but if I had a stock suspension and didn't track much, I would get the 19's. With Motons and much stiffer springs, I don;t think 19's are a good idea even though I plan to do dedicated track 18's.

I am getting the R's (reverse lip) which look bigger than regular wheels..
