As you may or may not know, my 2004 turbo was totalled out by insurance company from an accident on May 31, 2004. I was zero fault and the extend of the damage was large enough that they totalled my car. My next car will be an 05 Turbo S. I always get black cars, but, have been contemplating silver and wanted to see the techart type II nose on both a silver and black car. Thanks

Do a search for TonyNJ new look and you will see his silver turbo with a Techart type 2

 

Lou - I would leave the Turbo S in sotck form - just my .02
Seems rare enough these days to have a TT without cosmetic mods!

Get it in GT silver and it will have matching wheels

Its a tough dilema, I have always owned black cars and imho they look a little more aggressive(better). That said, I think I have come to terms with getting a silver car as long as I dress it up a bit As far as wheels, in your opinion which looked better 543R or 542R and how do you think the 542R would look with black center? Techart with black center? Thanks

It is just different look... I have received many more compliments on the Black 43's than the 42's... The 543's look better in person... You lose something in pictures. That said, I think the 542's are one of the best looking Turbo wheels... I would have done them anodized black if I had not already had them... I'm a lip guy.. So techarts are not for me.

 

If I go with silver, I definately want black centers. Wonder how the 542's look with a black center compared to 543's? What do you think? Have you seen 542's in person with black center? Which would you choose to have anodized black assuming you had neither and had to choose one from the beginning.

I agreee, I woudl not start changing the body of a Turbo S. ... I think from a collector stand point the value would decrease. I have not seen one 97 turbo s modded heavily... also I woudl get GT silver....

 

This Turbo S is nothing like the 97 993 Turbo S.... What will make it a collectors item? It is just a 996 TT with options included... and a few badges.. As a matter of fact less the badges they already may exist in someones garage if they optioned their 996 TT with the Turbo S options.....

This will not hold its value like the 97 993 Turbo S...

I have not seen the 542's in black.. I cant see how they would look bad... Similar to Shanks 545's... It would be a tough call if I was starting over... They black anodized 543's have grown on me... I don't think you could go wrong with either.

Thanks guys, sweet pics. I pretty much decided after reviewing this thread that I am going to go with silver and get the Techart Type II Nose. Now, another wheel dilema..........

My choices would be:
Hre 543R
Techart Formula GTS
HRE542R
HRE 545R

All would have black center, anodized or painted?? Which looks better on silver?
