That will get you the Viper, rebuilt, brand spanking new Twin Turbo motor and at LEAST 1,100~RWHP and easily 225mph. If you have the ba**s to stand on the gas for that long, this is the best ticket on the PLANET for the money.

You'll run through $150K in Porsche parts trying to get to that kind of output and then it will only do it ONCE before exploding all over the street.

The Viper's truck engine is magic if you want to drive in a straight line. Otherwise, its handling leaves much to be desired.

You are mostly correct. I well driven 99 Viper GTS coupe with a Roe Supercharger,
big brakes and some better sway bars will run very, very well if the guy knows how to drive. I used to think the same thing as you but I have been around enough "Well Driven" Vipers to know there is a difference between the fatso that drive around and do burnouts in them and the guys who have cages, and lap timers in their Vipers. Not an easy car to beat. IMHO

I just find that odd that a company like that "claims" top speed but does not actually do it.
What would you all say if I said that I ran a low 9 sec 1/4 without a slip and or video?

You're so correct, of course. There's the "mathematical" ABILITY to hit 255mph based on weight, gearing, and HP and then there's the AERODYNAMICS which will actually allow it, suspension, and etc. 255mph is a greater speed than is necessary to lift most aircraft off of the ground, so you know..... that 1,400whp Viper could become AIRBORNE like those "hydroplane flipping videos" we've all witnessed, unless there's a LOT more work done keeping it straight and on the ground.

 

the GT9 have already had a run by a German magazine that was faster then the Veyron with +253MPH on GPS, will be an article out about that very soon. But 255MPH, that is really damn fast, future will show if it is possible.
