Manthey Visit - Pics
Kaizu, have you got this amazing footage of you cracking 8min, would love to see it?
As Jean and I have mentioned before 8min is a very serious, serious time, there are track cars that even sit in that Manthey Unit that can't crack 8min, out of our group of guys there is only one that can match that, and he has a PSI Wide body race Turbo and weighs in at just under 1300kg (picture below)

I'm talking about Bridge-to-Gantry times remember that!
I think 7.50 or so is a good time for a tourist guy like me, but it is not a problem for a modded Turbo. Remember that Sport Auto's Horst von Saurma drove 7.56 min the whole Nordschleife with a stock one - a professional Ring driver will crack 8 min BTG with many cars!
If you want to hear about impressive "tourist" times, I think my friend Göte (Gaute) is a great example.
He is a Scandinavian like me and last autumn we were there and he drove 7.42.5 min BTG in his M3 CSL (the car has the famous 3.0CSL art car graphics so you can spot him easily) with the PBOX!
Of course, he is not your typical Ring tourist but you get the idea...Truly impressive car and truly impressive driving there... He goes 260 km/h indicated to Fuchsröhre...That's too mad I think!
STEVO, yes I might have the PBOX data somewhere....
