Manthey Visit - Pics
Jim, Steve,
Thanks for sharing your experience, great pictures!. If there is one place on this planet where you really become addicted to your car this must be IT. I Haven't been there in 3 years with my car, yet I can't get over that track adrenalin and the Pistenklause restaurant atmosphere etc.., truly like a pilgrimage.
None of you strapped your cars to Olaf's dyno? It's humbling
Looking forward to see the video!

Like I've said before, what I love about the place that it is not about 5" wide chrome wheel lips or carbon fibre interior bits or funny colored boost hoses...because like most of the things, those don't help you at all =)
Even an expensive suspension with a lot fine-tuning does not get you far if you don't take your time learning the track and its secrets...
Kaizu, have you got this amazing footage of you cracking 8min, would love to see it?
As Jean and I have mentioned before 8min is a very serious, serious time, there are track cars that even sit in that Manthey Unit that can't crack 8min, out of our group of guys there is only one that can match that, and he has a PSI Wide body race Turbo and weighs in at just under 1300kg (picture below)
