Where to buy CF Techart style wing

Hey guys,

New to the forum and have been looking at eveyone's mods and they look great! One item I am interested in the most is the CF techart style wing but have been unable to locate one. Can anyone give me some insight on where to purchase this T/A wing?

Check ebay. They run about $500 I believe.

Several here have bought this wing, and have had good luck with it. Get the one from "Maxspeed Motors", and not the one from China...

Adam,

Thanks for the reply. I checked ebay as well as contacting Maxspeed Motorsports and unfortunately, they said they do not have the T/A style spoiler but do have the OEM ones. As you stated, there are a couple from "overseas" which I would definitely not order. If anyone else has other recommendations, please feel free to comment.

Very strange. They usually offer one, but you're right, there are none availbale now.

Did they act like they would get more in? Maybe they are just sold out at the moment.

If all else fails, I would contact member "John D". He may be able to get one for you since he has business relations with Maxspeed Motorsports. It's worth a shot.

Adam,

Didn't seem like they were going to be stocking them anytime soon. Their response was simply, "No we don't, sorry". Thanks for the contact though. I will try to follow up with John D to see if he can work his connections to get one for me.

smokinxtreme,

Which spoiler are you looking for? The spoiler that is currently on my 996 is the GT2 spoiler (non-fixed) in CF. If you are looking for this spoiler, I would be willing to do a direct swap or purchase this one from you if you decide to sell it. Thanks for the heads-up.

smokinxtreme,

Attached are some pics. They are not the best quality as I took them from a camera phone but hopefully you the general idea. I will take better pics once I find my camera and post them within this thread.

I ASSUME THAT THIS WING GOES UP AND DOWN BUT ON THE PICS IS THE WING UP SINCE IT LOOKS LIKE ITS ON THE UP POSITION....

smokinxtreme,

Yes, the wing is adjustable as it is not fixed and still makes use of the hydraulic system. Additionally, the spoiler is in excellent condition but just not the spoiler I wanted as it came with the car. Since I do not have enough posts, I was not able to pm you back but I will try to contact you later on in the day since I live outside of Chicago and am 2 hours ahead. One last thing, I read that it takes a special tool to remove the wing. Where can I find this tool and is it difficult to remove?

Here are some pics of the wing on my car a while back. Keep in mind that 99% of these wings will sit on your decklid and scratch it unless you add spacers to lift it. The wings is lifted about 1/2" or so in my pics
