B&M short shift help

just installed in car B&M SSK , seems to shift into all gears but when I went for a test drive, I am having hard time getting it into reverse, it keeps on going into 1st. All the forward gears seems to engage fine. Which cable needs adjusting? and which direction? Anyone with this experience? Thanks for your input/advice. TC

Check the plastic ball socket pieces- if you put the plastic cable ends in too far than that will affect the amount of travel on that affected cable. I always mark them with a dab of paint before removal but there is a small square-like mark on the ball socket that should closely relate to the rear end of the plastic cable end (threaded). Look at the left cable particularly. Seth

When I did the install, I made sure of counting the threads and marking with a piece of tape on the rear cable part. You suggest that I adjust by pulling back on the left cable to show less threads on the cable housing? TC

Got it!!! I took out the console and just looking over the cables and found out the cables were not seated in the housing properly. It's now working beautifully!!. Love the knotchy short throws! TC
