Manufacturer’s Direct - Extended Warranty

Looking into extended warranty.. ended up getting an excellent quote from Manufacturer’s Direct based in Las Vegas.

Does any one have any previous good or indifferent opinions on them?

Thank you,

Read the fine Print!!

I had it and I was under the impression it was the same as a new car warranty. Basically it only covers major issues on the car that shouldn't go wrong anyway.

The smaller items that can be expensive, such as the switch on the glove box $500 USD was not covered.

Needless to say, I wasn't happy!!

I looked at their website.... did you read the policy/contract??

"We offer a group of coverages with treatment additives of varying types. With the use of the additive we are able to offer the benefit of a warranty to our products."

So this is 'one of those scams' where they use some 'additive' to be able to offer a 'warranty' even though they don't meet the legal underwriting criteria to be able to offer straight "insurance".

You need to read the contract, NOT the description of covered parts!

Big NO for me.

Thanks for the education on how to 'spot' one of those scams.
