HRE 543Rs

Think I am going to order 19" HRE 543s tomorrow, brushed center w/ a polished lip. I am still trying to decide if I should leave the center pieces brushed, or paint them Seal Grey to match my car. I have seen many wheels on the 996TT and think these are one of the best. Anyone have a different opinion and some nice pics to change my mind before Monday, please do so now.

since so many have done brushed, why not do custom seal grey? I think it would be pretty awesome. It is also about 80-100 per wheel cheaper to do paint vs brushed.

If you think you will ever sell them.. I would do brushed.... Seal would limit your resale market...

I've sold 3 sets of wheels on this board...

ESK (Eric) has sold 100..... Okay maybe that is a bit of a reach.... 20..

Gary is absolutely correct about resale.

We paint wheels all the time, so if you did Seal, and decided years later to sell them, you could easily have them painted back to Arctic or similar silver.

I agree with the comment about brushed if you're thinking of resale down the road.

I love the 543 series on the car. Awesome.

nice wheels, but i am not a big fan of the 5 spoke wheels anymore... had them on a few cars back in the day and am more into 7+ spoke wheels.

How sweet is the wheel debate. It is like asking, do you like women with blonde, red or black hair (or no hair???). There are so many great choices! I researched it for weeks and selected 11.5"/8.5" Champion monolites for their proven, simplistic design, thinking that the HRE's were too much like "jewlery". Now I have 543's on order with Black shot peened centers, polished/etched center caps. Go figure. Maybe next I'll want "spinners"...just kidding!
