DB9 oil sump pump seal
DB9 oil sump pump seal
Hi,
do you know if there is alternative part for the sump pump oil seal? I suppose that it is not a special part made for Aston but seal existing on the market.
Part number is 4G43-04-10196

I've never done this job myself, but I found a picture of the seal on the AM Bits site. From the markings it looks like it's a metric 35x62x7 rotary shaft seal. It's a $5-10 part compared to the $90 on Scuderia.
Hope this helps. I recommend you pick a known reputable brand for the seal rather than something off Amazon. This is almost something I'd be willing to pay the Aston tax on just to make sure I got the right spec part. Not everyone feels that way though.

I have replaced that seal (#16 here: https://www.scuderiacarparts.com/par.../151/668/23903)
When I care to buy the right seal (IE, for this job) I usually go to either with Timken/National Seal or SKF. The term of art is rotary shaft oil seal...
