DB9 Auto Differential Oil Consensus

Is there a consensus on which gear oil to use for the differential oil on an automatic DB9? Some of the posts make it seem like the differential oil needs to be specific but I’m not sure if that’s a requirement primarily for manuals.

It seems like I am mostly reading that any 75W-90 oil plus additive is fine and Castrol BOT270A is only needed for manual cars. I’ve seen past posts for Mobil 75W-90 and Castrol 75W-90 that seem to be fine.

I see that Motul has a standard and a “LS” version of the 75W-90 oil. Would the LS version still require an additive?

It’s can get confusing navigating the different recommendations! Thanks!

Motul LS would be great and no additive needed, any full synthetic 75-90W API GL-5 will work.

I put in the Motul LS last year and haven''t had any issues on my '07 DB9.

Thanks all. I will switch over to Motul LS.

How many bottles did you need?

IIRC, it took less than 2L.

Did the differential oil flush with the Motul and I ended up using just under 3L with some of it used to flush out the old oil.
