MAF problems with EVO cold air intake

I have blown 4 MAF's in 6 months now. Fix kit has been added also. Since the fix kit, I have blown one more MAF. Is this normal? Someone was talking about waffle from the OEM box needs to be transfered into the cold air intake, any ideas?

The waffle from the OEM box absolutely has to be transferred to the v-flow. The waffle smooths out the air and eliminates any turbulence, thus saving the MAF. If you haven't put the waffle into your v-flow, that IS THE REASON you're blowing MAF's.

The waffle is in the stock intake pushed in next to the screeen. Plastic thing that looks like a "waffle".

The "fix" is a piece that hold the waffle in place with teh evo intake. So your "fix" wasn't.

You'll stop blowing MAFs once you transfer the waffle.

Thanks Ari, let me work on it and see if I can fix this. Looks like I have to buy another MAF any way again.
