They are PRESSURE hoses. I've only removed the bottom, and they were a PITA.

If you do replace them, I'd be awfully sure the new hoses have the durability and strength required. (I think they have a multilayer structure, fabric, etc)

I tried too and gave up. Silicone hoses should be fine and plenty durable (far better than the mix of rubber and clear aquarium tubing in there now), but figuring out how to route them down there takes more patience than I am capable of.

I have done this when I discovered I had a leak at the Tee in the back of the motor. You should remove that plastic formed connection that the hoses go to, and replace everything to the frequency valve. Trick # 1: couple the new pressure hose to the old hoses and pull them upward by pulling out the old tee on top of the motor. Trick #2: Lower the motor down about 2 inches and it becomes pretty easy to facilitate.

The hose is constructed like finger cuffs. They get tighter as you pull on them. The only way I found to get them off was to try and get a small screwdriver between the nipple on the wastegate actuator and the hose.
I would replace with the same stuff. Otherwise, use really good sleeved clamps on everything.
