O Ace, I believe only (1) in the country has run in the 10's.
I know the local Coupe that I met is going to try. Nice fast cars, good fun.

Its all good brotha, but I know the first run was definitely not one on the way back. That was 1 of the 2 that you started in 2nd gear on the way out.
Either way, it was fun....and it would be great to get some other fast cars out to play with.
I pm'd a local guy here about 2 weeks ago that has an incredible collection of some high end fast cars to see if he'd be interested in this.
He never replied.

 

10.56@133.82 What happened to the Turbo BMW when we were 3 wide? He started to go then I assume lifted or had an issue because it was just me and you....again.

I was actually on the phone with Jared not long after we raced since I figured it was you. Nice runs. I knew the M3 was turboed, but didn't realize the BMW made that much power, I would have liked to get a nice run with him from 2nd gear.

 

Agreed Bro, Adam hit a fantastic 6.96 60-130, in his proto 650 with good fuel, so I'd say Tank's M3 is really moving. Can't wait to see another vid with Awais on MS109, should be closer.

About the 3 wide line up, I wasn't sure what happened. I was waiting for the 3 honk thing and never heard it, so I dont know what happened. I did hit it, and then let off right about the time you probably jumped on it.
I figured you probably thought you'd be wasting your time with an M3.
If you're ever up for it, get hold of one of the guys and we'll see what we can do.

Yea, that run wasn't started cleanly at all. I was on it, off it, then back on it when I heard you (or Awais') revs/turbos coming up.

I heard your blow-off and knew you were turboed and figured I needed to bring my "A" game if I hoped to win. I keep in the loop regarding fast cars (of all types) in the area and I've heard about your car before. Very nice ride BTW. I was the lowly Cobra in what seemed like a sea of HIDs and turbos.

Pity we couldn't do that 3-wide race, based on the video I saw I think it would have been a dogfight between us. I'll catch up with you guys again. Hopefully Jared can get his C6 Z out with us too.

I think he may have gotten some video of you two. Not sure if you guys actually had a clean start to see an actual outcome though.

 

When the weather cooperates and Jared is off work, we'll meet up.

Our first run was pretty clean, in fact I gave him the hit knowing his turbos would take a second to spool. When there is nobody honking I usually blip my throttle to initiate the race and when I hear the turbo car spooling I step on it (since my power hits immediately). It usually results in both car's power coming on at roughly the same time and makes for a fairly even start. We also were racing from a crappy speed for me. We were going just slightly too fast for me to use 2nd gear and I had to start at relatively low rpms in 3rd. I didn't start pulling past him until we both were in 4th (I assume it was 4th for him). It was cool the way our gearing differences showed up in the race with him nosing away in 3rd and me getting around him in 4th.

However, in the future against you guys running serious boost and 110 octane I think it would be wise of me to go off 3 honks and take the 1-2 car advantage my blower should give me on the hit and see if it can hold you guys off in the end.
