Here is an idea for a bunch of modaholics... how about we do a national meet in Vegas during the SEMA show 11/2-5/04.

That is the best show.. but too close, not enough time to plan. By the way it is the 2nd largest convention in Vegas.. Rooms are sky high and limited ... attended that show several times, LOVE IT!
just my 0.02 from experience

Just did a quick search for the Vegas convention schedule

I vote Dallas, its central and it will have the best turnout for that reason....

We could have a telephoned start (aka: Gumball Movie circa 1976 style) from locations that are exactly the same travel distance from KC and have some kind of purse for the winner!! I know that is controversial, but aren't we all anyway with this disease we all have????!!!!
Be careful with this, if something goes wrong the organizer or person collecting and doing the payout could be facing civil and legal matters, not a safe idea imo.

I know you didn't ask me but, Dallas has nice hotels, fine restaurants, great strip clubs and regular clubs, Dallas is a very fun party city.

Great town, although I have not been there for awhile. But central is key and not to be minimized. I was part involved when funcarsonline organized the event. Everyone one said they would go but in the end it was mostly people from Cali who showed. If we want turnout I think a central location is key.

I exhibit at SEMA every year, you guys would love it, but it would really suck for the East peeps and hotel room are very hard to get during the show, unless you book way in advance.

Thanks Ron -
Okay and what about the other points? It's a car meet after all. Track? Goods roads for a long fun drive?

Can't we just pick up strippers all weekend. That is my favorite hobby btw.

I found this site with a bunch of tracks in the Dallas Ft. Worth region,

What is the draw to Dallas, for a car meet?
I agree Central is important but.....
I'm not raining on your parade, but I'm sure everyone will want to drive together or track etc.. Have a place for the wives to go and enjoy themselves etc...
Am I alone on this? I'm not pushing for Vegas, just want this meet to finally happen...
