with the built in hard drive, you can import MP3's right ?

sorry to say bro, but you can't import mp3's to the harddrive. The music has to be in WAV format and the radio will automatically convert it to its own compressed format. They do that so it has to be a "store bought" cd..

I have the D3...similar, no HD.

I do have a USB addon and can put flashdrives on with mp3....to me, that was fine and a lot cheaper....I can technically add a usb powered hd too.....

The only issue is not having the ability to remove the nav dvd and have "dynamic" nav....it can remember a route, it just cannot adjust.

I never bother anyway, I use the iPod and it has so much in it I am always going to be happy.....videos, etc.

(see avic911.com for data on these...nice place and lots of data)
