first impressions on FS maxflow and Switzer exhaust

On Sat I got my order in for a Fabspeed Maxflow moderate gen 3 exhaust. First off, FedX was supposed to drop off the Wed before and kept updating pushing delivery back a day every day until when it finally came in Sat. I get home and see the box top end hanging by a thread and baddly beaten and bent. I take out the parts and the cans have dings all over them as they were wrapped in tiny bubble wrap with the cats in between, so I guess the cats which were in large bubble wrap popped through or maybe they were just sent this way. I have an appointment Mon morn with shop to put on and getting a proto flash this week so I figured "Oh well, it gets tucked under car anyway + I don't have patience to send back". Mechanic points out to me one of the pipes out the can is slightly warped at the end but he says he will bang it out. I pick car up later, sound great! Mean! feels a bit more peppy.

Today I get my Switzer, right on time! I had to perform minor surgery just to get the box open it was so well packaged. I lift up this heavy foam top and I see the most beautiful work of ART molded in yet another heavy foam cast. Not one spot, scratch, ding or blemish! WOW what a difference. Not on car yet but will be soon + proto 650 so cant report about sound or feel yet but I can say that Tym was a true pro to deal with and takes extreme caution and care of his products and customer service. Thanks again Tym, I cant wait to see this on my car. I will report back when done. Keep up the great work!

I had the same experience with the Switzer Performance Innovation exhaust (SPI)! Its really a high end piece that sounds amazing...you should try their headers! That packaging and exhaust is like Cartier vs. other offerings that I have had experience with. Enjoy your sweet ride!

Sorry, didn't quite get your story. How long ago you have the FS before getting the Switzer? Who did you order the FS from? Hard to believe anyone spent thousands of dollars and received damaged products and didn't say anything to the seller.

I see you took my advice. Paulina loves her Switzer. Are you doing 24/18 upgrades w/ Proto tune and Switzer on weekend car and GIAC/K16's and Fabspeed for DD??

You will have an enviable stable my friend.

Do a youtube search on jcbmemphis...I have a longish one ...at 1:04 is the fun...there is a cold start at the end.

It is a wonderful unit and I think it sounds GT3ish now. What I wanted.

Yes gen 3 moderate sound FS. I put it on my 996TTS cab. Much more aggessive than stock! Very deep and rumbly. I like it alot except when around 2-2500 rmps when my ears start to hurt a bit. I went with the medium tone b/c I was initially going to put on my coupe but then opted for a Switzer on that car. I am enjoying the difference in sound from stock alot even with top down. GL.
