RWD 600+hp can you do this in a corner??
Ah, great comment and after looking at it a thousand times I think what happend (other than trying to pass off line inside in front of the pit in) was that I hit that dip so hard (usually track further out so dont hit it) and the rear end got light and came around. it was just like I lifted but you can here the car and there was no lifting (one of my mottos!) so that is what I am attributing it to so far.
my main reason for posting was for all to see what you have to deal with and to try and learn things from the criticism.
thanks for taking the time to reply.
and John, that was nice to say thanks

RWD is hard with that kind of power too. (Obvious statement) It really makes things like dips through acceleration points more prominent to worry about. I have troubles at 1 and Oak Tree like that at VIR with mine. I went to a LSD, slicks, and nitrogen to try to fix it. We'll see. I'm sure you have the LSD. Slicks? Nitro? Great catch.
Just now saw this thread. Nice save Tom...looked like you were hauling a$$. So now for the obvious question, which may be impossible to answer: How do you think the car would have reacted if it had the AWD intact?
it may have been worse?
I doubt worse. I've gotten bent out of shape in both configs and didnt have LSD to help. The car is very manageable when you've lost it and feels the same both ways. I've seen almost every other car (vette, viper, mustang) with much more snap oversteer, snap rebound oversteer than what our cars will do.
Notice how the rear didnt snap all the way back around. It just doesnt as long as you have some good car control skills. Had you been in a Vette or Viper or Mustang you would have at the very least done a 360.
I originally thought it was the AWD saving me from spinning before, but it had the same nature in RWD. I've only spun twice in my TT and once was the first weekend I had it on track, and the second was when I just powered my way into a spin at talladega GP. And both were well over a year ago.
nice save as mentioned before and i think by now you have an understanding of why it happened.
now to an even bigger question. what kind of HP did the car in front of you have to be pulling like that?
