RWD 600+hp can you do this in a corner??

well while at Sebring last weekend and first weekend with the RWD was chasing "TurboStan" and setting up to pass him on the inside of turn 17 when the below happened............

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y_d4-3hjah4

that happened at the dividing wall between the hot pit and the front straight, lucky not to wreck the car!!!

comments welcome!!

also looked like he hit a bump in the road surface and unloaded the suspension right before the back started to come around.....

In fact, I'd like to hear your thoughts some 3 years in what you think of the 996TT platform today (especially in light of Porsche going to a grenade of an engine next year in the 997TT) as compared to some of the other options you could choose (997TT, R8, 360s getting cheap, Gallardo, GTR, C6 Z06, Viper).

Ah, great comment and after looking at it a thousand times I think what happend (other than trying to pass off line inside in front of the pit in) was that I hit that dip so hard (usually track further out so dont hit it) and the rear end got light and came around. it was just like I lifted but you can here the car and there was no lifting (one of my mottos!) so that is what I am attributing it to so far.

my main reason for posting was for all to see what you have to deal with and to try and learn things from the criticism.

thanks for taking the time to reply.

and John, that was nice to say thanks

i saw the incident in the dry, but the wet I was expecting something a little more severe. Glad no one (or car) was hurt though...just was thinking a big one was coming any minute. lol

I saw the dip too, got the rear end squirrelly , nice save! Your setup looks to be doing well especially with you driving, i'll say it again, I push my car within my comfort realm and sometimes a bit beyond, am pretty darn quick in it around a few tracks and have never had a near crash/scary moment (except at VIR through esses) knock on wood.

RWD is awesome when done right, it's finicky with pressures and dialing it in suspension wise though, you liking it Tom?
