GT700 Sputtering at high rpms

My GT700 is sputtering at high rpms. Can it be plugs again? I replaced my plugs just 2000 miles ago and I always run 100 octane unleaded fuel. I am using Bosch FR6 plugs. 1st and 2nd gear seem ok, but 3rd and up is just a horrble feeling. Very shakey and hesitant.

I threw the codes of P0171, P0174 & P0420. My car has no cats and no muffler. Please help! My car is slow!

Un hook the battery for 10 minutes and then see if it clears the codes. Let it warm up and then try again. Otherwise, see the doctor.

I had a battery problem that messed up the flash about two weeks ago. The car was dropping boost when shifting up and regained boost after 5000 rpm. I used the OBD II reader to reset it and didn't help. I disconnected the battery (most people said 30 min, but I did it for overnight) and that fixed it.

ODB II reset not = battery reset!! It doesn't hurt to try.

E-mail Mike at EVOMS, he will get this sorted for you assuming you don't have an actual real code issue. I don't know what your exact configuration is but if it is the lastest and greatest??? you should not be having any issues at all.. My car is running very very well now..talk to Mike

I will try disconnecting the battery. Hope that solves my problem. I am having the exact issue you are describing.

I have the latest GT700. I've only had it on my car for 3 months. I will email Mike if disconnecting the battery does not help.

It shouldn't be the maf since he's running a hmaf...

My guess would be the plugs, coilpacks, or post o2 sensors

Good luck! The worst thing was... I was even with a M6 and the traffic saved my face. He must be thinking "this Porsche is slow".

Did this problem coincide with installing the cat bypass pipes? The codes you are throwing are 02 sensor codes.

FVD extenions.....to the o2 sensor mounting spot are supposed to fix this very issue....and they were under 100$.....not sure if they still are, but fyi. I have no relationship with FVD and have never bought anything from them.

Hey BLKM3, I really think the key thing here is that you really just need to have the car running the way a gt700 was intended - in other words using the cats/exhaust. I know you like it loud tho Having a straight pipe without any cats is leading to a bunch of 02 codes (a la p0171). Want to try the car with some cats and the normal software (remember yours is different to combat the overboost with no cats)?

My assumtion is that if you have not cats and no mufflers you have used leaded fuel??? Sounds like misfire or overboost...
