Correct.

Depending on the weather conditions, dyno fan set up, dyno model, additional mods, ect... 450 or better is realistic.

Hey Boca,

k16 is the model number of the turbo...k24 is the "next" large size Porsche decided use.

Basic stock 996tt's will have k16s while x50's and gt2's will have k24s.

Aftermarket tuners, such as myself have started to mix and match parts from each of the production turbos to produce "hybrids" such as k16/24's.

In the case of this thread we used a Mitsubishi 16g compressor wheel in stock k16 housings.

Hope that helps!

Are you in NYC? If you are, come to Hoboken and I'll take you for a spin. Where do you do your 60-130? I'm trying to find a spot where I won't end up behind bars.

Micheal, I understand your concern and personally, I would never attepmt it on a public road. If you want to record a 60-130 time, the best and safest place to do it is at a 1/4 mile track. If you don't trap 130, just hold it for another second over the line and you will have it. No risk of jail time, either :-)

Thanks John. In the past, when I've gone to e-town (haven't been in this car yet), they made me take my radar detector off the dash. I'm figuring I'd get the same thing with a p-box. That is probably the safest way.
I need to get a new set of tires too. I picked up a screw in one of the fronts and though it's holding air fine, but I'm pretty sure I won't pass tech with it. It was time for a new set anyway. The last thing I need is a blow-out at 130.

Sounds like a plan.. Maybe we can meet up at the Edgewater meet in a few weeks.

I understand, same rules up here - What if you mount it level in the glove box or under the dash? I think that might work and be OK.

It needs line of site with satellites. Doesn't even work when going under an overpass.

Did you just post a dyno of someone else's car with different mods? That graph shows 534whp. Besides; dyno graphs that don't show correction factors, don't show much.

Regardless, congrats on the new mods! Time for a 1/4 mile pass at an actual track to get a trap speed for a TRUE hp reading.

The graph actually show's 534 ftlbs of torque...not horsepower.

Mustangdyne's sheet actually don't display the weather correction factor on the dyno plot. Sorry.

I agree that trap speeds are a great measure.

Absolutely correct Tony - my mistake. So...

Did you just post a dyno of someone else's car with different mods? That graph shows 481whp.

I've heard a lot of great things about the 16/16G set up. Any body know how they compare to flashed/ exhaust/ DV/ WG K24's?

Just wondering if it's worth making the jump- I love the idea of less turbo lag!

Different car, same mods.
That's my car... in 45 degree weather, and before I put the exhaust on. That pull was K16/16g, custom tune, 5 bar fpr, stock exhaust, stock intake, stock DVs, stock everything else, 93 octane, AWD.
Very similar to OP's setup.
He's guestimating that he's 30hp or so lower given the hotter, more humid weather and off the shelf rather than custom tune. Not a bad estimate if you ask me.
I agree with the sentiment on the 1/4 mile trap. Need to get down there soon.
