New GT3 Brakes, JIC Coilovers, Silicone Intercooler Pipes

Our faithful customer brought us back his 996TT to add some new toys to compliment the Agency Power 650 Turbo Kit and raw power it makes! This was the car you saw in the video drag racing at Firebird Raceway with Bondurant Driver Mike Speck - YouTube - vividracing's Channel.

After getting the advice of the car pitching and diving a bit under acceleration, Jeff stepped up and picked up a good street suspension setup from Vivid Racing. Since Jeff will probably not see a track day, we upgraded only the rear H&R Sway Bar to give the car more over steer. The stock 996TT tends to have alot of push through turns. After having several rides in our Porsche 996TT, we hooked Jeff up with the best coilovers for street and track, JIC Cross Competition coilovers. The coilovers feature 16 way adjustable dampening, monotube shocks, camber plates and rear pillowball mounts. These coilovers have great steering response and fast reacting dampers to road conditions put in front of him. We lowered the car about 1.5 inches in the front and 1.25 inches in the rear and had it aligned to GT2 specs. See GT2 alignment specifications here.

Next we wanted to upgrade the stock brakes to give this high horsepower car more stop. To fit under his 18" wheels and keep an OEM look, we went with the Porsche 6piston GT3 Brake Upgrade Here. The kit has a 1 piece drilled 14inch rotor which dominates the stock 13 inch 4 piston setup. The factory Pagid RS29 pads offer a good bite for the direct replacement brake upgrade. To improve upon pedal feel, we upgraded all 4 brakes with the Agency Power steel braided brakelines and Motul RBF600 synthetic brake fluid. Since 70% of the vehicle braking is dont up front, this upgrade will greatly improve stopping performance for the street and track.

The last upgrade which we will dyno test shortly is the new Agency Power Intercooler Hose Kit. This kit features larger diameter silicone tubes which go from the intake pipe to the compressor side of the turbos. The factory plastic pipes are restrictive in some areas and rob needed air flow to gain power as you get up in the larger turbos. The silicone hoses connect to the turbo via an aluminum pipe which has the fitting needed for the factory sensor. On the top of the engine, the intake pipe is a twin tube design to efficiently flow cold air to the turbos. The intake tube features the factory ports to connect it like the OEM unit as well as a bracket to firmly secure it in place. The aluminum aluminum unit has a V Design to maximize air flow. We expect this modification to pick up around 20 horsepower. This prototype piece is in the production process and will be available for sale in 6 weeks.

Should be, they are molded off the stock pipes, just silicone with aluminum inserts and the diameter is kept consistant at 2.25 inch. So the hoses in length on both sides are the same as the stock. Reduction of kinks and larger diameter is the improvement.

4 weeks will start taking orders. Pricing for the kit will probably be less then the competitions $1500 and others carbon ones for $3000. Probably be about $800-$1000. As soon as it is ready for preorder, you know where it will be posted

lowering a car makes the world of difference in look. a car is just not complete without a good stance.

Speedshaq - the brakes are about $2600 for the set. You can see that here on our product page - http://www.vividracing.com/catalog/p...7-p-47193.html

No you do not need a different fuel filter. We are working on the final production piece which will be reinforced silicone to no collapse under vacuum.
