Strut Barces

I have the PSS9's and heavy duty sway bars from the Races Group on my '02 996tt, it handles sweet!! I was wondering if any of you have installed strut braces? Are they needed? What are your thoughts on this? Thanks in advance for your opinions.

By design the 996 tubs are much stronger than the older cars and for the most part it's not as important as it once was. However, in testing with slicks on the GT3 RSR Porsche found having both front and rear made enough of a difference that they are now standard on the RSR's this year

I'm not at all sure that they are necessary. That said, I am using the Ruf front strut tower brace. Usual Ruf deal:Very expensive but very well made and esthetically pleasing.

The 996 already comes with a front strut brace. Do not buy another one. The fwd bulkhead/firewall also joins the shock towers unlike the earlier 911's.
