Power loss!!
Power loss!!
In the past 2 weeks I have had two dyno runs ( at 2 different places ). On both occasion's I made around 445bhp at the fly. I have a stage 2 loud europipe and a 1.1bar remap on a k16 car.
The car should be running 500 at the fly IMO. When I had the second dyno run the guy also tested my boost. He told me that my car wasn't spiking boost high enough and holding it for long enough, because I have soft (standard) actuators.
Is there anyone that has had the same problem? Or anyone think that this is the reason for a 55hp loss?
The car has always been okay and there are no other problem's apart from this one as far as I know!!
Regard's,
Nick.

Hey Nick, how's it going man? You have to get the EVO 1bar actuators to maintain the 1.1bar without any decrease towards redline. Check for boost leaks too, your stock IC hoses might have bad o-rings, or your diverter valves could be leaking. They're good maintenance anyway, so might as well change them out at your stage.
Good luck dude

I'm ok bro thanx for the advice! U cool? That's what I had planned to do plus some big power upgrades, but my car has the Porsche warranty so Im gonna try and get them to give me some new actuator's and DV's first ( I told them I have a power loss ), also my intermediate shaft is very noisey so I'm gonna try get them to rebuild my engine too.

Will find out tomorrow
Dude, if it's flashed you're gonna have a hell of a hard time with any of the dealers here in the UK honoring a warranty claim. If you're going to have it in for any major work, I'd seriously look into getting another stock ECU to get programmed and put in before going to the dealer.

I have a programmer to flash it back to stock, so tomorrow it will be stock apart from the exhaust

I noticed on your forsale add you got them to replace your rad's.
How did you pull that off??

They will still be able to tell. If they're looking at a bill for an engine, they're going to take the ECU out and run a full check on it, and the flash will show up whether or not you're running the stock program. What programming are you running?
The rads are cheap compared to an engine, and at that point in time I only had an exhaust so they looked the other way.

Okay but doesnt a diagnostic's check come up as a flash?! I'm using the same programming that UMW would use.
