Driving Shoes

Just want opinions on what people prefer for driving shoes for track days. I am only looking at shoes that offer the low-cut style. Thanks.

Cool

I tried the lower Sparco Speedway first but found that they cut into my Achilles while driving. Switched to the high top F2 and they are incredible!
And VERY fast.

They are expensive, but the best shoe by far is the Diadora.

They weigh nothing, have a paper thin but stiff sole for great feel, and they are more comfortable than my tennis shoes. Seriously, they are great shoes.

Yes. Search for bowling shoes. If it's good enough for the alley, it's good enough for the tracks.

Anyone here know of driving shoes that can be used as normal casual shoes/sneakers?

Diesel shoes aren't bad at all. They are casual shoes/sneakers, look great, and they feel awesome when driving.

I find the Puma Speedcat to be a decent wearable sneaker that gives good feedback fro proper driving (heel and toe, etc). Puma is really making an effort to attract the motorsports crowd with their heavy sponsering in F1. Also, Todd's and other loafers make decent shoes that allow for aggressive foot manuevers for driving while still looking semi normal in public when you walk in them.

I am leaning towards the Diesel's, quite comfortable and good for driving. Just trying to see if there is anything else out there that I did not notice.
