Angry Forge DVs Arrived ...BUT...

....One is polished and one is black

Oh well, guess i'll just have to return one of them

Also, the polished DV has the yellow spring fitted and the black DV has the green spring fitted

Spring ratings are:

Yellow 15psi - 23psi
Green 5psi - 15psi

Which spring should be fitted for my car?

I got them from a small company that makes kit cars and track cars

I should ask them to change them - but they're quoting me 6 weeks delivery because they don't have anymore in stock

I guess the polished DV has the correct spring for our cars?

And maybe the black DV has the lower pressure spring because it was originally ordered for a lower powered kit car?

Can I contact Peter at the shop?

Also - thanks for your PM recently

As you can probably tell I'm still learning an awful lot about my car and am nowhere near ready to carry out the upgrades i one day plan to

Rest assured though, when i am ready to start with the upgrades it'll be you that i'll be contacting

I agree Stevo
I'm not concerned about the colours
But as stated one has the yellow spring fitted and the other has the green spring

which one should be used? yellow or green?

I called Forge Motortsport yesterday like Dan suggested
Peter was not there so I spoke with a guy named Austin

I told Austin I'd bought some of their valves from another company and they'd given me different ones (one was black and one was polished - and that they also had different springs and caps on them)

I told him the company I bought them from said they would change them for me but it could take 4-5 weeks

Without hesitating Austin said they had loads in stock and offered to replace the black valve for a polished one at no additional cost he also said he's put green springs in both of them for me!

I didn't even buy them direct from the factory and he offered to help me!

The Forge factory is about 60 miles from my house
I asked Austin if i could collect them the same day instead of mailing them
He agreed and said he's stay open until I got there!

I got to their premises in about 90 minutes - Austin was already waiting for me

I gave him the boxes with my valves in expecting him to change the springs and exchange the black valve for a polished one like he had offered

Instead, he didn't bother
He took my old valves off me and gave me two brand new models
Both were polished and had the new style caps fitted

Then he said he'd give me two green springs and two yellow springs so i can use whichever ones i wanted to!

I left their premises with two new polished valves and 4 springs at no additional cost!

I must say this is without doubt the best customer service i have even had

Austin and Forge Motorsport were more helpful then I could ever have expected them to be - especially when you consider I didn't buy the valves from them in the first place

Thank you very much to both Austin and Forge Motortsport !!!!!
