Whats current market for 02 996tt with mods?
Whats current market for 02 996tt with mods?
So Im thinking of stepping up to a 997 turbo and was wondering if you guys have any market intelligence of what my 02 turbo should fetch. Car has 14k miles on it. I bought it with 7k from a guy in CT who only used it weekends and no rain. All equipment is on my sign below. Id probably sell the GT-2 rims on the side and put the stock twists back on and potentially put the stock exhaust back on and sell the Miltek and the Techart/gemballa/FVP steering wheel on the side.
Whats do you guys think (and any interested parties?
)
Thanks.
Marc

i would say like 60K max is what you're going to get... i'm sure you expected a higher number, but i just purchased one and most ranged in the low 50K's to low 60's range depending on the mileage, NOT the mods...
I am currently shopping and have yet to purchase so take my two cents for what they are worth, but I am seeing semi high asking prices and seeing the same cars week after week in the 4sale forum and on ebay, I also just lost a bid on ebay for a clean 01 with lots of options carbon fiber chmpion wheels and a proto 650 kit and low miles that sold for only 56000 so with your current configuration I would think in the fifties however this is just my opinion...Josh
Here's my .02 cents, I hope it will help you. I bought my 02 996tt a little over a month ago. It's very close to show room condition. It is silver, black interior, carbon fiber steering wheel, new set of 997tt wheels and new rubber. 13K miles, V flow intake, Diverter Valves and flash for $61K. It also came with the original wheels and tires.
We have all heard the saying, "its only worth what someone is willing to pay for it." With that said I have seen cars recently sell for thousands more than what I thought they would and also cars I thought were a steal sit for months.
From what I have seen high 50s to low 60s is about right depending on the region.

flask68, finally someone with a 996tt who knows what these are worth.
For some reason, every owner imagines there 996tt is worth $5k more than it really is. A Porsche dealer would probably not offer anymore than $50k for this. The car is over 6 years old and given economy, oil, and market conditions the price is honestly still holding up. The market for high-line cars in general is pretty soft given bonuses are down accross the board.

thanks guys..so I think that about 60k is the market based on recent sales give or take, minus the wheels and exhaust....which is allot of car for the money as you all know (which is why I bought it in the first place) I have a local guy that offered me $59 already, although I havnt commited yet, so based on your feed back, Im pretty much there.
The 997's are still holding up a bit but I think thats from european buyers holding the price up..my prediction is that the Euro will start falling now that the Europen Central Banks are starting to cut rates as those economies are slowing like ours. Euro is overvalued by 30% now. So watch the 997's go down more soon. Ill sell the exhaust and Wheels (oem GT-2's with some knicks only 6 mos old with new Pilot Sports on them, 315's in the back) and steering wheel in the for sale forum, so keep on the look out.

Marc, you're way off. Your car's worth Thirteen dollars and 47 cents. I'll have my secretary prepare the check and paperwork and run it by your office.
Seriously... sell me your mods, I'll do the wrenching.
Even more seriously, respond to my PM from a month ago.
