I always liked what my coworker did a couple of years ago (only exception is that he kept the stock head unit so the system never had that crystal sound or base punch), but they did great work on placing the amps. Link to pix here:

I just love the alcantara interior. Beautiful. Not too sure about the blue touches though the blue inserts on the chairs work a real treat. Stunning work. Sorry, but no custom stereo in my car. Just a fabspeed exhaust...

This is great! i've been wanting to line the interior in Alcantara, but never had a clue as to how it may look much less knowing who can actually do the work for me.

Could you tell me how you pulled this off?

Boys,

Great work all around....for the DIY'ers, where did you guys pick up the Speed Signal for the NAV unit? Gray/pink I believe. Under the relay board in the drivers foot is what I was thinking. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Rich

I've been thinking along the lines a custom PC install. I was looking at an entertainment/Hardcore Instrumentation setup and being to switch between the two systems, taking a cue from the GTR.

I have the Kenwood 8120 DD in my 996TT and I think the NAV is the best part, especially if you are use to using the Garmin products. I pretty much have your typical 2 amp setup, Focal components and coax and a 10W3v3 in a sealed box in the back dash. Does anyone else get insane rattle coming from the alcantera headliner?? It's driving me nuts!

Can you guys post pics of the trim surrounding the head unit? I assume it doesn't look like those cheapo Schosche OEM to aftermarket surronds.
