Has Anyone Used Dynamat To Kill Exaust Resonance In Vehicle?

I've got a FVD catless race exhaust that sounds great...cup car great, but with even everything all closed up at 2200 to 2800 rpm's the exhaust is a bit loud inside. Was wondering if anyone has used dynamat products to kill these noises inside the vehicle. I'm about to pull the rear interior apart and probably doors too. Seems to be especially in the rear wheel well area. Any experiences???

Let us know how it works out, I am sure most people dont like adding weight to their car but in my opinion this might be a nice trade off, lighter better sounding exhaust, dynomat to offset the drone...Josh

This exhaust is around 50lb's lighter that oem....so adding 5-10 lb's to kill the noise is worth it........strarted thinking insted of swapping out exhaust untill no end maybe just adding dynamat would solve all of our exhaust noise problems for everyone.

Have a friend with Europipes and he used Dynamat on the rear parcel shelf etc. Didnt make a significant difference as far as I can tell. Resonance still pretty much there.

I have done a complete pull out of interior on a few cars and done dynamat installs. A 911 would use about ~90sqf, IO do it all the time to 356 verts to cut down on the heat.

If its just the drone you are worried about b2 quiet has a few closed cell 1/8th foams that can be lined under the carpet pretty easy that will quite things up. They give a feq block range so all you need to do is find what your exhaust is and then match it to the correct foam.

I am tearing apart a prowler to do this in a few days and will post some pictures. ~150sqf of dynamat extreme and ~50 sqf foam liner and a bunch of mat to keep the interior pieces from rattling.
