What are the lightest wheels for the 996 TT?
You know what wheel would look awesome, Volk Gram Lights, the twon piece 57Pros, but im positive the 1 piece are lighter of course
and that c4s is all japped out
kinda cool to see
i know the japanese have a ton of aftermarket products for 360's. but they love ferraris, i know they like older porsches. im sure theres some stuff for newer porsches but no idea where to find any info at.

Chad, according to what I remember, Cary's wheels actually came from a GT3-R race car, which is why he built his custom widebody.
I'm sure in that case it will clear your GT3-RS calipers just fine.
Why don't you email him and see what he says? BBS makes a much larger range of wheels than Fikse does and if the Le Mans teams can run them, I'm sure you can too.
FYI, Work Brombacher Mag is 3 piece, and comes in widths up to 15" wide and are custom built to order.

You really need to have more than one set of wheels
....especially if you want a track-performance wheel (w/appropriate rubber) and a "good-for-looks" wheel.....and then possibly one for 'less-than-ideal weather' with appropriate rubber.
OE hollows are actually a great track-performance wheel. Keep in mind the fronts are only about 20 lbs (unfortunately is only an 8J but not bad).

Re: What are the lightest wheels for the 996 TT?
Some of the lightest wheels available are the Champion RS97 Monolites.
8x19" 19 lbs. 10 oz.
11x19" 20 lbs. 6 oz.
by comparison, factory hollow spoke wheels are:
8x18" 22 lbs. 2 oz.
11x18" 26 lbs. 5 oz.
I've been considering them very seriously for my car.
Sincerely,
Paul
