Hey, I got a AS upper console switch thingy (horschoe?) and the AS dash strips to install. Then I'm done.

Now I've got the 91 Black/Tan C2 Cab for wifey, I'm starting on that!Silver hood crest
Silver crest on steering wheel (very unusual in a 964)
Silver instrument rings
Silver *****
Silver ignition surround
New SS tail pipe
Of course with all the 996s around, this is a toy!

After

Don - be carefull with that steering wheel crest - seems when the airbag opens ( hopefully never ) this could be a deadly object - I would remove it personally just for safety sake buddy

Yea. You might get a permanent porsche crest imprint on your forehead. Ouch.

That is one clean dash Don! Look great!
I agree, Loose the crest. I have heard of people getting injured by these.

It's pure silver, which should bend when you install it - only alloys with steel or another stiff metal will not bend, and then you don't have the nice liquid look of silver. Also, the 'bendability' allows you to install it perfectly flush on a fender or body panel.

I think his stuff is fantastic.

Todd I am glad you think the stuff is fantastic but mine wasn't that great - could be a one off problem - not the biggest deal - I wish him luck with these anyway

PS - why would anyone put this on a fender ?

I bet 'Lefty' would replace them for you if you weren't happy - he seems to be a pretty stand-up guy, and he makes them himself, by hand.

Here's an image on a fender from his promotional photos:

Here's one on a Boxster third eye brake light:

I think they look pretty trick on a black exterior:

The batwing is a good spot too:

To me, pure silver looks a lot better than 'aluminumm look' or plastic with aluminum colored paint, a la factory.

Got the silver 911 logo in satin for the batwing insert, quality is good, looks great inside the car. I wouldn't put one on the outside of the car though.

Uh, what is "pure" silver? Even Ivory soap is only "99 and 44/100th's percent pure." The jewelry term, last I heard, for what most of us would consider to be the most highly refined silver is (British) "Sterling," which is an alloy of 925 parts silver and 75 parts copper. This is a generally excepted legalterm, and if it isn't "Sterling" silver (and advetised and marked as such), it is silver and some other stuff and you don't know how much is silver and how much is other stuff and what the other stuff is.
